Modeling Can Be Dangerous To Your Primary Career…Unfortunately

August 8th, 2017

From the De Moines Register: West Des Moines woman who worked for a local nonprofit fighting human trafficking has been fired for pursuing her hobby as a model.

State records indicate Taylor R. Wadsworth, 23, was fired in April from Youth & Shelter Services in Ames where she had been working the previous 11 months.

As a specialist in the area of human trafficking, one of her job duties entailed warning young women about the dangers of responding to false advertisements from entities that claim to be looking for models but are actually engaged in human trafficking.

For the past several years, Wadsworth has participated in photo shoots as a model and at one time was considered for participation in the reality television series “America’s Next Top Model.”
